Where current events meet lesson plans.

Welcome. Since our first day of business, Teach the Standard has been offering a varied selection of lesson plans to our valued customers. All of our lesson packages are reviewed by a current or retired teacher.

All of our lessons incorporate a current event. We define a current event as an event that happened no more than one year before the lesson is written or an event expected to happen within a month after the lesson is written.

We offer two lesson plan options for Math:

Current 1 Day - current national event aligned to a selected standard

Current 1 Week (aka 5 Days) - current event (city/state/national level) aligned to selected standard(s)

**You will need to make your own copies, but each lesson package will include a digital version of a detailed lesson plan as well as digital versions of handouts, activity sheets and answers.
